Students from Italy

2025.12.09

On November 30th and December 1st, our laboratory was honored to host a visit from four students of the Scuola Superiore di Catania in Italy. This visit was part of their scientific journey to Japan, aimed at touring world-leading research institutions. The visit was originally scheduled for early October, but their intended flight was unexpectedly canceled, which led to the rescheduling to these two days. As a result of this change, they had the pleasure of visiting Kyoto during the most beautiful time for the autumn leaves.

On the 30th, Professor Isa provided them with a comprehensive overview of our lab’s general activities. On the following day, Mitsuhashi-sensei, Ueno-san, Stefan-san, Xiyao-san, Ho-san, Wajd-san, and Lan-san gave them a guided tour of our research facilities and detailed explanations of our specific research findings. The visiting students were exceptionally talented, posing questions that delved into the core of our research. We hope this experience will inspire and benefit their future careers. Following their visit to Kyoto University, they traveled to the metropolitan area to visit another university and then went back to Italy.
