Presentations at the 117th Kinki Physiology Symposium
On November 29th 2025 the 117th Kinki Physiology Symposium was held at Osaka Medical and Pharmaceutical University. This regional meeting serves as a platform for training and recruiting young researchers, fostering active discussions, and scientific exchange.
From our team, two lab members gave oral presentations on their latest research findings: Dr. Wajd Amly (PhD) presented her talk titled “Progressive Saccadic Reaction Time Impairments in Marmosets Following Synucleinopathy”, while Dr. Stefan Peyda (MD, third-year PhD student) gave his presentation titled “A Novel Synapse Organizer Rapidly Salvages Hand Dexterity & Drives Corticospinal Rewiring in Spinal-Injured Primates”.
Both presentations were received very well, and an Award for Outstanding Presentation by a Young Researcher was presented to Stefan.
It was a valuable opportunity for our members to share the work of our lab, and to engage with and strengthen the connections between the wider physiological community in the Kansai region.
